Welcome to Our Studio!
The Amazing Art Studio is the largest do-it-yourself art studio in the Washington, D.C. metropolitan area. Join us to paint pottery or board art, or try your hand at creating a mosaic or fused glass masterpiece instead. Regardless of what you choose, ALL of our projects are available ALL of the time at our studio. All ages and abilities are welcome. We host gatherings of families and friends, co-workers, and clubs. We also host many different types of events to include birthday parties, bridal showers, baby showers, scouting events, team-building events, or even just a little art therapy.
Our amazing staff is here to help. We set up your supplies and help guide you step-by-step through the glass, mosaic, or painting process. We have everything you need - including an amazing assortment of tools designed to make you look really good - stencils, stamps, silkscreens, samples, pictures, ideas, etc.! So whether this is your 1st or 100th visit, we're here to help with tips and tricks on how to make your artwork amazing.
We started with humble beginnings when, in September, 2000, we took over a small plaster painting store named Plaster, Paint & Party. The first store was located in a small warehouse in Gaithersburg, Maryland. As our business and reputation for great service grew, we knew that we needed a bigger and better location along with more choices for our customers. So, the Amazing Art Studio came into existence in November, 2003. Over the years we added paint your own pottery, fused glass, mosaics, and board art to our amazing selections. Our store is currently located in the Downtown Crown shopping center.
We feel fortunate to have helped create so many memories for our customers. We look forward to many more years with our current customers and helping new customers spend creative time with family and friends.
